The 2026 BMW i4 Gran Coupé electric sedan range has been updated in Australia with a revised model structure, new features and increased driving range.
Only the eDrive35 remains in the lineup – starting at $88,900 before on-road costs – after the range was cut from three variants to one.
While marking an entry price increase of $1,100, the updated i4’s price tag still sits below the Luxury Car Tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles of $91,387.

The standard equipment list now includes the M-Sport package as standard, which includes 18-inch light alloy wheels, an M steering wheel, and M-Specific front apron, rear bumper, diffuser and side skirts.
Heated front seats with lumbar support, an electric glass sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring, a tyre repair kit, and BMW’s Parking Assistant Plus are now also included in the standard equipment list.

Styling tweaks have also arrived with the updated i4, including a revised kidney grille and headlight design, the former now featuring a new diamond pattern.
Output figures for the i4 remain the same compared to its pre-update counterpart, with its rear electric motor producing 210kW and 400Nm. The i4 completes the run from 0-100km/h in six seconds.
Electricity is still sourced from a 66.4kWh battery, supporting 11kW AC charging and 180kW DC charging, the latter allowing for 10 to 80 per cent charges to be completed in 32 minutes.

The i4 has also received an efficiency upgrade on account of updated silicon carbide semiconductor components for the power electronics, improving the driving range by 18km to 448km on the ADR 81/02 test cycle.
The updated 2026 BMW i4 is expected in Australia by the end of the year.
