The 2026 Subaru Uncharted electric SUV has been revealed by Subaru of America.

Each utilising a 74.7kWh battery – with the ability to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes – three trim levels will be offered with the Subaru Uncharted: the Premium FWD, Sport and GT.

The Premium Front-Wheel Drive – producing 165kW – has the furthest driving range of the three variants, with Subaru estimating 483km of driving range.

The Sport and GT models add a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain producing a combined output of 252kW, with a 0-100km/h likely under five seconds based on the claimed 0-60mph time.

Subaru of America says that the AWD variants have an estimated driving range of 467km.

The power outputs of the Subaru Uncharted’s FWD and AWD variants are identical to that of the mid-range and top-spec Toyota C-HR+ models, which it was speculated to be closely related to when it was initially teased.

The Uncharted rides on the same e-TNGA platform – also known as the e-Subaru Global Platform – as the C-HR+, and its full unveiling has revealed its visual similarities with its Toyota relative.

The Subaru Uncharted is a close relative of the Toyota C-HR+

The Uncharted arrives as standard with a 14-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two wireless smartphone chargers in the front row, two USB-C chargers in the second row, heated front seats and 18-inch wheels.

The Sport trim level – along with adding all-wheel drive with Subaru’s X-Mode system – adds additional features including a heated steering wheel and water-repellent upholstery.

Finally, the GT trim adds 20-inch wheels and features include a Harman Kardon sound system, a smart rearview mirror, ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seats.

The Uncharted’s safety suite includes front cross traffic alert, blind spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, pre-collision braking and emergency stop assist.

Additional safety features are added depending on the trim level, such as a panoramic view monitor included on the Sport trim level. Traffic jam assist and lane change assist are also available as additions to the Uncharted’s list of safety features.

The Subaru Uncharted is set to go on sale in the United States in 2026, however – like its Toyota counterpart – no plans to bring the model to Australia have been confirmed.

Subaru’s mid-size electric SUV, the Solterra – with which the Uncharted also shares a platform – is currently on sale in Australia, with its Trailseeker stablemate also a possibility for a local release.
