Subaru Australia has confirmed the local arrival of the all-new, all-electric Trailseeker SUV scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
This entirely new nameplate represents the next phase of Subaru's electric transition in the Australian market.
It is built on the e-Subaru Global Platform, shared with Toyota’s e-TNGA architecture, and is a larger alternative to the recently updated Solterra.
Measuring approximately 152 mm longer and 25 mm taller than the Solterra, it provides improved interior space and practicality, as well as a larger silhouette.

The Trailseeker is equipped with a dual-motor powertrain producing a combined 280 kW of power, which Subaru claims will allow it to achieve a 0-100km/h launch in approximately 4.4 seconds.
These figures establish the model as the fastest-accelerating production vehicle ever built by the brand.
Power is managed via a standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

The SUV utilises the e-Subaru Global Platform and provides 211 mm of ground clearance.
It includes X-Mode traction control with specialised settings for snow, dirt, and mud.
The vehicle's architecture is designed with a low center of gravity to assist stability on various road surfaces.
Braked towing capacity is rated at 1,500 kilograms.

A 74.7 kWh CATL battery provides a driving range of up to 533 kilometres under ADR 81/02 testing.
The vehicle supports 150 kW DC fast-charging, enabling a 10 to 80 per cent charge in approximately 30 minutes.
It also features 22 kW three-phase AC charging and 1500 W Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for powering external equipment.

The interior is fitted with a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and dual wireless charging pads.
Safety technologies include the Subaru Safety Sense suite and a Driver Monitoring System.
Subaru has opened registrations of interest for the vehicle on its official Australian website.
Specific pricing and final local specifications will be announced closer to the launch date.
