The 2025 Cupra Born has been removed from the company’s website, two-and-a-half years after it initially went on sale.
With 301 sales of the Born electric hatch recorded by Cupra in 2025, it’s believed the company’s allocation has dried up – after the model was heavily discounted as part of a run-out deal.
“The Cupra Born has recently performed very well in Australia and stock is now sold out,” a spokesperson for the brand said in a written statement.
“Planning for the next evolution of the Born – including the performance VZ – continues.”
While the Born was originally priced from $61,990 drive-away, the Volkswagen-owned Spanish carmaker was offering the model for as little as $47,040 drive-away.
A refreshed Cupra model line-up is in the works for the Australian market, which is expected to include the Born VZ – initially due in early 2025.

The Born VZ brings a 40 per cent increase in power – to 240kW and 545Nm – along with revised sports suspension, a larger battery with longer driving range, and updated styling.
“Australia is a strategic market for the brand’s global expansion and the brand is focused on its largest product offensive to date in Australia,” the Cupra spokesperson said.
“This includes particularly sharp pricing for the performance Cupra Tavascan medium SUV, a key battery-electric vehicle (BEV) focus in 2025, joined shortly by the Cupra Terramar medium SUV.”
