2025 BMW M2 Scheduled for Q4 Release in Australia

2025 BMW M2 Scheduled for Q4 Release in Australia

The 2025 BMW M2 is expected to be available in Australian markets from October to December 2024, with pricing details set to be announced in July.

The updated model features minor design tweaks and an increase in engine output.

Its 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine now produces 353kW, which is an increase of 15kW from the previous version.

The enhanced engine output results in improved acceleration metrics.

The automatic version of the M2 has received an additional 50Nm of torque, bringing it up to 600Nm, while the manual transmission retains its torque of 550Nm.

This increase in power reduces the automatic version's 0-100km/h time by 0.1 seconds to 4.0 seconds, and the manual version's time to 4.2 seconds.

Exterior updates include new colour options and wheel designs.

The BMW M2 is now available in additional colors such as Sao Paulo Yellow and Fire Red metallic, with more options under BMW Individual finishes.

The interior features updates like a new flat-bottomed steering wheel and expanded upholstery choices, including red and black Vernasca leather and an optional M Carbon bucket seats.

Technological updates are highlighted by the new BMW Operating System 8.5, which powers the vehicle's infotainment and digital instrument displays.

Concurrently, the BMW 2 Series has been updated for 2025, maintaining its three-model lineup with similar enhancements to the M2 in terms of engine performance and technological upgrades.

New exterior styling options and alloy wheel designs have been introduced, alongside interior tech upgrades and new trim options.

The updated models aim to offer new specifications and features as part of BMW's ongoing product evolution.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
