Suzuki Australia has lifted its temporary sales hold on the Jimny XL, with deliveries to customers commencing immediately.

The sales pause was announced at the end of July while Suzuki Motor Corporation conducted an investigation into the model.
During this period, Suzuki advised its dealer network to offer deposit refunds to customers awaiting delivery.

“Our customers well established trust in Suzuki is built on the promise that quality and safety always come first,” said Michael Pachota, General Manager for Automobiles.
“While this pause was undoubtedly disruptive, it was absolutely the right step to ensure we deliver on this promise,” Pachota said.

Suzuki Motor Corporation has now confirmed there are no issues with the Jimny XL’s quality, safety, performance, or compliance.
With the investigation concluded, wholesale and retail sales have resumed, and stock held at ports and yards can now be released.
