A run-out offer has been announced for the 2024 CUPRA Formentor VZe plug-in hybrid small SUV, now priced at $47,990 drive-away.
The Formentor VZe has been discounted in the wake of the abolition of the Fringe Benefits Tax exemption for plug-in hybrid vehicles on April 1st, representing CUPRA’s “commitment to keeping electrified mobility accessible,” according to a media release from the brand.

Originally priced at $64,990 before on-road costs when new, the Formentor VZe is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission and an electric motor, with electricity coming from a 12.8kWh battery.
The Formentor VZe boasts a combined system output of 180kW and 400Nm, with a 0-100km/h time of seven seconds. It has an electric-only range of 50km, and a claimed combined fuel consumption of 1.9 litres per 100km.

For the run-out deal, the leather and camera package – which adds a Nappa leather interior with power-adjustable and heated seats, as well as a 360-degree top-view camera – and a panoramic sunroof, are included as standard.
Other features on the Formentor VZe include 19-inch alloy wheels, the Volkswagen group’s Dynamic Chassis Control adaptive suspension system, an ADAS safety suite, a 12-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, tri-zone climate control, and LED headlights and taillights.
A new CUPRA Formentor is expected in Australia in early 2026.
