Mahindra have today teased an updated version of the Scorpio-N SUV on their social media channels.

The short teaser depicts a road with flashing lane lines accompanied by the text “Power Always Stays on Course”.

This seems to hint at the fact that the Scorpio will likely gain Level 2 ADAS, which includes being able to manage such features as lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control simultaneously.

The arrival of Level 2 ADAS would bring the safety suite of the Mahindra Scorpio more in line with the XUV700 SUV, which these features are already offered with in Australia.

The other notable change is the likely addition of a panoramic sunroof to replace the single-pane sunroof that comes in more highly-specced Scorpio-N models in India but as standard on the Z8 and Z8L trim levels offered in Australia.

Other upgrades, such as a larger infotainment system, have also been speculated by some outlets, although additional changes have yet to be confirmed by Mahindra.

While a petrol variant is offered elsewhere, power is still expected to come from the same 2.2 Litre Turbo-Diesel 4-cylinder engine currently offered in Australia  – producing 129kW and 400Nm – mated to a part-time four-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Official details on the updated Mahindra Scorpio – such as an expected Australian arrival date – are yet to be confirmed by Mahindra.
