A new Aero Performance Package option is being introduced for the Toyota GR Yaris GTS for an additional $4,500 before on-road costs.

According to Toyota, the new aero package’s upgrades were developed from the brand’s participation in the Japanese Rally Championship and the Super Taikyu circuit racing series.

A rally-derived bonnet duct improves the engine's cooling performance, while a new lip spoiler and air ducts on the rear bumper – developed from Super Taikyu – decrease lift and reduce drag, respectively.

These upgrades are also joined by a manually adjustable rear spoiler, front fender ducts, and a new floor undercover.

“These upgrades make the dynamic GR Yaris even more potent, helping to increase grip, braking and overall performance, while also adding some serious visual flair,” said Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley in a media release.

The Aero Performance Package additions join the list of enhancements already equipped with the GTS model grade over the standard GR Yaris, including 18-inch alloy wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, red brake callipers, a limited-slip differential and uprated suspension.

Engine output figures remain unchanged from the 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, producing 221kW and 400Nm, paired with an adjustable all-wheel drive system

With the Aero Performance Package included, prices for the GR Yaris GTS rise to $64,990 before on-road costs for the six-speed manual variant and $67,490 for the eight-speed automatic, up from $60,490 and $62,990, respectively.

Aero Performance Package-equipped Toyota GR Yaris GTS models are slated to arrive in Australia by the end of 2025.
