Prices for the 2025 Nissan Z will start at $76,160 in Australia before on-road costs, as the iconic Bayside Blue Colour Option makes its return, the hero colour of the legendary R34 Skyline GTR.

The colour was an evolution of Champion Blue, offered with the special edition R33 Skyline GT-R LM Limited Edition, which paid tribute to the NISMO-run R33 LMGT1 efforts that competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 and 1996.

Bayside Blue was also an option for the Nissan Stagea between 2000 and 2001, and later made its return for the 50th anniversary edition R35 GT-R.

The colour will be available on the Nissan Z as a single colour choice without a two-tone scheme, alongside Ivory Pearl and Plasma Red – both with a Super Black roof – as additional colour options for 2025.

Both the Nissan Z and the Nissan Z NISMO – the latter of which is priced at $94,605 before on-road costs – are powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 driving the rear wheels, producing 298kw and 475Nm in standard guise and 309kW and 520Nm in NISMO trim.

The standard spec comes with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic with paddle shifters, with the latter being the set transmission choice for the NISMO.

The Nissan Z comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-inch infotainment screen, a limited slip differential, a drive mode selector when specced as an automatic, and launch control.

The NISMO adds new exterior trim, larger front brake rotors and improved brake cooling, a sport+ drive mode, RECARO seats, and a host of aerodynamic, chassis, wheel and tyre and launch control enhancements.
