Nissan Australia has confirmed that the MY26 X-Trail is now on sale, following up on the pricing and specification details released in late 2025.
While the base entry price remains at $38,140, the local launch extends service intervals to 15,000km or 12 months, with capped-price servicing of $399 per service for the first five years.
This replaces the previous 10,000km/12-month requirement for both the petrol and e-POWER hybrid variants.
The updated lineup now officially excludes the N-Trek variant, streamlining the range into four core grades: ST, ST-L, Ti, and Ti-L.

Nissan has introduced its Connected Car Services (CCS 1.0) as standard equipment across every model in the range.
The system integrates with a smartphone app to provide remote engine start (on Ti-L), vehicle health reports, and theft notifications.
The entry-level ST grade now features a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard instead of the previous 8.0-inch unit.

Inside, the cabin has received several material updates including a shift from brown to black dash and door trims on variants with black interiors.
The mid-spec ST-L has been upgraded from synthetic leather to genuine leather-accented upholstery.
Front passengers in the ST-L also receive 10-way power seat adjustment, matching the driver's seat.
The Ti-L flagship now offers a 'Chestnut' interior color option, which replaces the outgoing Tan leather trim.

Technology enhancements for the ST-L and above include a new 3D Digital Around View Monitor.
This system adds a "Skeleton Hood" view, allowing drivers to see obstacles directly beneath the front of the vehicle.
A new "T-Junction" view has also been added to assist with visibility when pulling out of narrow intersections.
The e-POWER hybrid system remains unchanged, providing an electric-drive experience without the need for external plug-in charging.

FAQ
What is the "Skeleton Hood" view and how does it work?
Available on ST-L grades and above, this technology uses the 360-degree camera system to create a translucent "see-through" image of the engine bay on the infotainment screen. It allows drivers to see obstacles directly under the front of the vehicle, such as high curbs or narrow track ruts, making precise maneuvering easier in tight spaces.
How does the e-POWER system differ from a traditional hybrid?
Unlike traditional hybrids where both the engine and motor can drive the wheels, e-POWER uses the electric motors to drive the wheels 100% of the time. The onboard petrol engine acts solely as a generator to charge the battery, providing an EV-like driving experience with instant torque without the need for a plug-in charger.
What are the requirements for the 10-year Nissan MORE warranty?
The warranty is "service-activated," meaning it is extended annually up to 10 years or 300,000km, provided you maintain your scheduled services at an authorised Nissan dealership. Each eligible service automatically adds an extra 12 months of warranty coverage and 24/7 roadside assistance to your plan.
What features are included in Nissan’s Connected Car Services (CCS 1.0)?
Standard across the entire MY26 range, this system connects the vehicle to a smartphone app, enabling remote lock/unlock, vehicle health reports, and theft notifications. On high-grade variants like the Ti-L, users can also use the app for remote engine start to pre-condition the cabin temperature before entering.
Have the service intervals changed for the 2026 model?
Yes, Nissan has increased the service intervals for all MY26 X-Trail models to 15,000km or 12 months (whichever comes first). This is a significant update from the previous 10,000km requirement, reducing the frequency of dealer visits and lowering long-term maintenance costs for owners.
