The Mercedes C-Class range has received an upgrade in Australia with updates arriving for the C 300 and the C 43 AMG.

Off the back of the Edition R's success, the C43 4MATIC has received the most significant upgrades between the two variants– with its 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain receiving an upgraded tune – resulting in a 10kW increase bringing the system power output to 310kW.

As a result, the updated C 43 enjoys an improvement of three tenths of a second in the run from 0-100km/h, now 4.3 seconds.

Aesthetically, the C 43 has gained a darkened grille and badging, red brake calipers, an AMG steering wheel, performance seats and metal trim on the centre console and dashboard.

Additionally upgrades from the Edition R include a ‘Race’ driving mode, AMG dynamic engine mounts, and the AMG Track Pace function, allowing owners to to analyse data and record lap times on race tracks.

The C 43 is now priced at $123,800 before on-road costs.

While the updates are less significant in the C 300, it still receives an improved equipment list, including as standard a Burmester 3D surround sound system, MBUX Augmented Reality navigation, Mercedes’ Driving Assistance Package Plus as well as Digital Light, which includes adaptive High Beam Assist.

The Mercedes C 300 is now priced at $98,200 before on-road costs.
