Suzuki has confirmed the Australian launch of the all-new Fronx Hybrid, a compact SUV that introduces a new nameplate to the local market.

Priced from $28,990 before on-road costs, the vehicle will be sold in a single top-grade automatic variant.

Since its global debut in April 2024, the Fronx Hybrid has recorded over 229,000 sales across 52 countries, with strong demand reported in markets such as India and Japan.

Powering the SUV is a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid system, which uses an integrated starter generator for electric assistance.

Suzuki claims fuel consumption of 4.9L/100km, with the powertrain coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Fronx — a combination of the words 'frontier' and 'crossover' — features coupe-inspired styling with high ground clearance, 16-inch polished alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a roof-integrated spoiler.

Seven exterior colour options are available, including three two-tone combinations.

Inside, the cabin adopts a black and Bordeaux theme, featuring leather-accented seats, heated front seats, and soft-touch materials.

Key tech features include a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and a heads-up display.

Standard safety systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a 360-degree camera, and Dual Sensor Brake Support II.

Pre-orders are now open ahead of showroom arrivals on September 1st. Premium paint options cost $745 for single-tone and $1,345 for two-tone finishes.
