Škoda Australia has announced the introduction of the Enyaq RS electric car to its Australian line-up, set for release in July 2024. The addition of the 250kW Enyaq RS marks it as one of the most powerful vehicles from the 'Simply Clever' brand.

Concurrently, the European market will witness the release of the updated Enyaq RS in both five-door SUV and SUV Coupé body styles. This model promises a driving range of up to 547 kilometres (WLTP) on a singular battery charge and claims an acceleration from zero to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.

Further, the Enyaq 85, previously known as the 80, has been updated. It now features 210kW of power and offers a driving range of up to 576 kilometres (WLTP) on one charge. With rear-wheel drive, this model is reported to go from zero to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Škoda Australia's Head of Marketing and Product, Kieran Merrigan, shed light on the significance of these introductions. "Both the 210kW and 250kW Enyaq are the most powerful Škoda models we have ever offered, while delivering among the longest electric vehicle driving range in the electric medium SUV segment".

Both the Enyaq models come with enhancements such as advanced electric motors, optimized batteries, and improved thermal management features, which includes the pre-heating of the battery. These features aim to provide a reliable driving experience.

Charging capabilities for the Enyaq 85 and Enyaq RS have been stated to offer a peak capacity of up to 175kW. This leads to a recharge duration, for going from 10% to 80% battery charge, of approximately 28 minutes.

Additionally, Škoda Australia has shared that the Enyaq will come with the new software version 4.0. This update encompasses a redesigned user interface, updated graphics for the virtual instrument panel and head-up display, and improvements to the voice assistant functionality.

It's worth noting for potential buyers that the mentioned figures are based on global specifications and could be subject to modifications for the Australian market.
