Australian specifications have been announced for the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq Select Plug-In Hybrid large SUV.
While Australian pricing for the Kodiaq PHEV remains unconfirmed, it will slot into the lineup above the Sportline variant (priced at $58,990 before on-road costs) and below the range-topping RS ($69,990 before on-roads). As such, PHEV pricing will likely land somewhere in the $11,000 gap between the two.
Available in the Kodiaq’s five-seat configuration, the front-wheel drive powertrain consists of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and an 85kW and 330Nm electric motor, for a combined system output of 150kW and 350Nm. This is good for a 0-100km/h run of 8.4 seconds.

Electricity is sourced from a 25.7kWh battery, with an electric-only range quoted at 112km on the WLTP cycle, and a claimed combined fuel economy of 1.85L/100km.
The Kodiaq PHEV supports 11kW AC charging – completing zero to 100 per cent charges in two and a half hours – and 50kW DC fast charging, allowing for 10 to 80 per cent charges to be completed in as little as 25 minutes.
Fully electric and hybrid drive modes are selectable via the Kodiaq’s infotainment touchscreen, as are brake regen and power usage modes.
‘Low’, ‘High’, and ‘Automatic’ modes are selectable for brake regen. When it comes to power usage modes, ‘Automatic’ recharges the battery using the engine, while ‘Manual’ exclusively relies on a plug for recharging.
Outside, the Kodiaq PHEV gets 19-inch alloy wheels, heated, power-folding, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors, silver roof rails, high gloss black side window trim, dark chrome trim on the D-pillars and badging, LED headlights and taillights and an electric tailgate.
Interior equipment highlights include a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a nine-speaker sound system, two 15W wireless ventilated phone chargers, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, rear-window sunshades, two door waste bins, and a rear centre storage element in the centre of the floor.

Safety-wise, the Kodiaq PHEV comes equipped with Travel Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist with Adaptive Lane Guidance, Front Assist, Emergency Assist, Turn Assist, and nine airbags just to name a few features.
The Kodiaq PHEV is also optionable with the Signature Pack, with its additions including Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, massaging and power-adjustable front seats with memory and lumbar adjustment, heated rear outboard seats, a Canton sound system, and a hands-free tailgate.
It’s also available for the petrol Select variant, replacing the now sold-out Launch Edition as a $6,500 option. The Signature pack in the petrol variant adds all of the same equipment as the equipment in the PHEV model, with 20-inch alloy wheels also listed among its added extras.
The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV is set to arrive in Australia in Q1 2026. This will then be followed by the mild-hybrid Select variant, arriving in Q2 2026, slotting in below the entry-level petrol model.
