CarSauce Buy 2.0 is out now.

The Ford Ranger has been recalled in Australia due to a brake boost issue, affecting 1,643 examples of the popular ute model built between 2024 and 2025.

“Due to a software issue, the brake boost function may not operate as intended. As a result, braking could be reduced requiring greater pedal force and potentially increasing the vehicle’s stopping distance,” the original recall notice reads.

“If this occurs, the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Brake telltales will illuminate warning lights and audible alert on the instrument cluster.”

Ranger owners affected by the recall will be contacted by Ford Australia, asking them to schedule an appointment to have the issue rectified for free.

For more information, customers can contact Ford Australia via email, phone or their website.

You can find the original recall notice and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list of affected vehicles here.
