Volkswagen Australia has added a new special edition variant to its small car line-up, with the Polo CityLife set to arrive in dealerships from November at a starting price of $32,790 before on-road costs.

As the third CityLife model to be introduced locally — following the limited-run T-Cross CityLife in 2021 and the series-production T-Roc CityLife — the Polo CityLife adds extra equipment to the base Polo Life.

Standard features include 16-inch Torsby alloy wheels, tinted privacy glass, keyless access, dual-zone climate control, Park Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, and a Proactive Occupant Protection System.

It also carries over the Life’s equipment such as LED headlights, rain sensing wipers, height adjustable front seats with lumbar support, and a leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles.

Inside, the model features a Digital Cockpit, 8.0-inch touchscreen with DAB+ radio, wireless phone charging and four USB-C ports.

From the 2026 model year onwards, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard across the entire Polo range, including the new CityLife.

Earlier this year, Volkswagen also added Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist and Travel Assist to the Polo Life, aiming to make the entry-level offering more convenient on longer journeys.

The Polo CityLife is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine producing 85kW and 200Nm.

It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and has a claimed fuel consumption of 5.5L/100km on the combined cycle.
