Toyota has confirmed pricing and specifications for the 2026 HiLux, which goes on sale in December 2025.
The updated model brings a new front and rear design, upgraded interior, more standard tech, and a simplified line-up - but still sits on the same IMV platform as the outgoing HiLux.
While Toyota calls it a “new generation,” this is effectively a major update rather than an all-new model.
Much of the cabin structure, including the doors and roof, is carried over, but Australian design and engineering teams have led significant visual and technological updates.
Every HiLux now includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Toyota Connected Services.

A 7-inch digital cluster is standard on WorkMate and SR, while SR5, Rogue, and Rugged X receive a 12.3-inch display. Comfort and safety have been improved, though prices have risen across the range - in some cases by over $7,000.

Under the bonnet, all variants continue to use the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, producing 150kW and 500Nm (420Nm in manuals).
The V-Active 48V mild-hybrid system remains available on automatic SR grades and above.

The line-up now consists of WorkMate, SR, SR5, Rogue, and Rugged X, with the GR Sport, 2.7-litre petrol, and 2.4-litre diesel variants dropped.
Both the Rogue and Rugged X lose the wider 140mm track that previously distinguished them from lower trims, meaning they’re effectively less mechanically equipped than before - despite similar pricing.
