Nissan Australia has announced the MY26 X-Trail will arrive in the first quarter of 2026.

The update brings revised styling, upgraded technology, and minor interior changes across the range.

Pricing for the 2026 X-Trail starts from $38,140 for the ST 2WD and extends to $58,215 for the Ti-L e-POWER with all-wheel drive.

This positions the X-Trail below many direct rivals in the medium SUV segment — the entry ST 2WD undercuts the Mitsubishi Outlander ES 2WD ($39,990), while the ST-L AWD is priced slightly below the Outlander LS 7-seater.

The Ti-L e-POWER remains below Toyota’s RAV4 Edge Hybrid AWD ($58,360), yet slightly above the entry-level Outlander Plug-in Hybrid 5-seater ($57,290).

Mid-grade e-POWER variants are priced in line with the Toyota RAV4’s AWD GXL, XSE, and Cruiser Hybrid models.

The MY26 X-Trail features updated front and rear styling, revised LED lighting signatures, and new exterior colour options.

Inside, seat materials and trim finishes have been revised to give a cleaner, more refined presentation.

Nissan’s Connected Car Services (CCS 1.0) will be introduced across the range.

The system provides remote engine start, vehicle health reports, theft notifications, and maintenance alerts via a smartphone app.

From the ST-L grade upward, the Around View Monitor now offers additional functions such as Skeleton Hood view for narrow-road visibility and Multi View support for intersections.

A 12.3-inch infotainment display remains standard from the ST grade, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The updated range continues to offer Nissan’s e-POWER system, which uses a petrol engine to generate electricity for the electric motors, with no need for plug-in charging.

e-POWER variants include the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system, which distributes torque between the front and rear motors to enhance traction.

Safety features remain comprehensive, with Nissan Safety Shield 360 standard across the lineup and ProPilot with Lane Keep Assist fitted to higher trims.

Other features include Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Emergency Braking with Junction support, and Blind Spot Intervention.

Convenience features such as a hands-free power tailgate, wireless phone charging, and dual-zone climate control remain standard, with tri-zone control fitted to the Ti-L grade. Both five- and seven-seat configurations continue to be available.

The $1,150 price rise across all variants follows temporary reductions of up to $3,000 introduced in mid-2025 for the model’s 23rd anniversary. The MY26 update effectively returns the range to near pre-discount pricing levels.

All MY26 X-Trail variants will be covered by Nissan’s 10-year/300,000km warranty and matching roadside assistance program when serviced at authorised dealers.
