Australian pricing for the 2026 Kia Stonic has been officially confirmed, with the facelifted light SUV due to land on local shores by the end of the month, priced from $28,180 before on-road costs.

Headlining the changes to the model is the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to the range, mated to a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine – the same internal combustion unit used prior to the mild-hybrid update –  and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Kia is yet to officially confirm output specifications for the updated Stonic, but CarSauce understands that with the addition of the mild-hybrid system, power has risen to 88kW, up from 72kW. CO2 emissions have also decreased as a result, down to 116g/km from 125g/km.

The updated Stonic range comprises three variants: the entry-level S variant (priced at $28,180 before on-road costs), the mid-spec Sport ($32,290 before on-roads), and the range-topping GT-Line ($35,740).

Prices have risen with the addition of the mild-hybrid. Compared to the current model, prices have increased by $2,020, $3,000, and $3,260 for each variant, respectively.

The Stonic’s aesthetics have been overhauled for 2026, with styling elements adopted from Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design language. It sports a new front and rear bumper, daytime running lights and taillights, and a new grille design.

The Stonic’s dimensions have also grown in length slightly. Measuring 4,165mm long, 1,760mm wide, 1,485mm tall, and with a wheelbase of 2,580mm, the updated Stonic is 15mm longer than the pre-facelift model.

There are also major updates inside, including 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment display, a redesigned dashboard, and new steering wheel designs.

Kia Connect and over-the-air updates also join the list of features for the Sport and GT-Line variants of the updated Stonic.

Full details and specifications on the facelifted 2026 Kia Stonic are expected soon.
