Kia Australia has issued a recall for the 2025–2026 Kia K4 Hatch (MY26), with 4,817 units affected across the local market.
“The rear centre seat belt anchor buckle may have been incorrectly assembled. As a result, the seat belt may not properly latch or operate as intended,” the recall notice states.

According to Kia, if the seat belt does not properly latch or operate as intended during an accident, it increases the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Kia Australia and asked to make an appointment with their preferred authorised Kia dealer to have the rear middle seat belt anchor buckle inspected and/or replaced, free of charge.

For more information, customers can contact Kia Customer Service at 131 542, via email at [email protected], or through their website.
