Chinese premium EV brand Zeekr has announced Australian pricing and specifications for its latest electric SUV, the 2025 Zeekr 7X, with the five-seat luxury model set to arrive in three variants: RWD, Long Range RWD, and Performance AWD.

The Zeekr 7X enters the competitive midsize electric SUV market with a strong value proposition, aiming to undercut established luxury players while offering a high level of standard equipment and next-generation EV hardware.

Zeekr 7X Pricing in Australia

  • Zeekr 7X RWD – $57,900 before on-road costs
  • Zeekr 7X Long Range RWD – $63,900 before on-road costs
  • Zeekr 7X Performance AWD – $72,900 before on-road costs

This positions the base 7X just below the Tesla Model Y RWD ($58,900), while the Long Range and Performance grades push into premium territory, offering significantly more range, power, and features for the price.

All models use Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform and incorporate 800V electrical architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging and improved thermal efficiency. Zeekr claims DC charging from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 13 minutes, depending on variant and battery size, with support for up to 360kW DC and 22kW AC charging across the range.

The RWD variant uses a 75kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) ‘Golden’ battery offering up to 480km (WLTP) of range. The Long Range RWD and Performance AWD models step up to a 100kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery, delivering up to 615km (WLTP) in the most efficient spec.

Acceleration ranges from a claimed 0–100km/h in 6.0 seconds on the RWD variants to 3.8 seconds for the dual-motor Performance AWD.

Inside, the 7X is designed as a premium five-seater, with Zeekr claiming interior space comparable to larger SUVs. Cargo capacity is rated at 539 litres in the boot, with an additional 62-litre front trunk (frunk) in the RWD models.

Local safety ratings are yet to be confirmed, but Zeekr says the 7X meets international safety standards through a steel-aluminium hybrid body structure and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Australian models will come with a seven-year vehicle warranty, seven years of roadside assistance, and include a 7kW home charger and 240V trickle charger as standard.
