Zeekr has confirmed it will introduce a new front-wheel-drive variant of the 009 electric MPV in Australia, priced at $115,900 plus on-road costs.

The model becomes the most affordable entry into the 009 range, which currently includes AWD seven- and six-seater variants priced at $135,900 and $139,900, respectively.

The 009 FWD is claimed to deliver a WLTP range of 604km, making it the longest-range version of the MPV to date.

Zeekr Australia Managing Director Frank Li confirmed that the brand will not introduce model updates for the 7X over the next twelve to eighteen months.

This follows the 7X’s initial launch performance in Australia, where it recorded more than one thousand pre-orders in its first week.

Li said the company remains focused on supporting both existing and incoming customers as it expands its local model range.

The 009 FWD will join the lineup alongside the existing AWD variants, with further specification details to be provided closer to first deliveries.
