INEOS has released official details for its one-off version of their Grenadier Quartermaster dual-cab off-road ute created in collaboration with Australia’s R. M. Williams footwear and clothing company.

Taking its name from the R. M. Williams belt, the one-of-a-kind ute dubbed ‘the Drover’ is specially based on the Trialmaster version of the Quartermaster.

The Grenadier Quartermaster is available with a choice of either a petrol or diesel BMW-sourced turbocharged straight-six engine, with the latter equipped on the Drover, good for 183kW and 550Nm.

The Drover retains the equipment list already offered with the Trialmaster, including 17-inch steel wheels, front and rear differential locks, a compass and altimeter, a raised air intake, an exterior utility belt, an auxiliary battery, and an auxiliary switch panel and external plugs.

Designed for travelling in the Australian outback, the Drover is also equipped with BF Goodrich K03 Mud Terrain tyres, a 35mm Pro lift spring upgrade, Koni Raid shock absorbers, roo and brush bars, checker plates, a Norweld Canopy, a Rhino-Rack roof platform, a rooftop tent, a compact radio, and a heavy-duty bull bar-mounted antenna.

Decked out in R. M. Williams livery, the collaboration has seen the addition of built-in boot polishing and debossing equipment built into its canopy, a drover belt buckle on the centre console lid, and R. M. Williams-specific door trims, sidestep pads, and engine cover.

The Drover has been created to travel across Western Australia with R. M. Williams ambassador, Ange Butler, behind the wheel, appearing at regional festivals, rodeos, agricultural shows and equestrian events as a brand activation.

As part of the activation, hat steaming and design masterclasses will also be run out of the Drover, and its travels can be monitored via an online interactive map.

The Drover has already started its journey, first appearing in Dowerin back in August, with its planned road trip consisting of a total of nine planned stops around WA and lasting through to May 2026, when it’ll appear at the Ord Valley Muster festival.
