The 2026 Hyundai Palisade has been spotted testing on Australian soil ahead of its local launch, adorned with heavy vinyl camouflage.
While Hyundai has already unveiled the updated Palisade – complete with a bold new look – the SUV has yet to go on sale in Australia, suggesting the model could be undergoing local suspension tuning.
Suspension tuned to suit both drivers and roads Down Under could be used as a selling point for the Palisade, given the outgoing model was overlooked for the program.

Images posted to online forum Reddit say the Palisade was spotted at Macquarie Centre – a shopping mall approximately one kilometre from Hyundai Australia’s head office in Sydney.
Despite the diesel-powered version accounting for the vast majority of sales in Australia, Hyundai has chosen to drop the engine for the mid-life update – instead solely offering a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine.

The hybrid powertrain offers a combined 245kW and 450Nm, helped by two electric motors, with fuel consumption said to be rated at 8.8 litres per 100 kilometres.
The result is a claimed driving range of up to 996 kilometres on a single tank (US EPA cycle).

Overseas markets also have the option for a 3.5-litre V6 engine, not available in Australia.
Inside are dual 12.3-inch screens looking after the instrument cluster and infotainment, while it’s expected the Palisade will be able to be optioned with either seven or eight seats.
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is set to launch in Australia in the fourth quarter of 2025 (October to December inclusive).
