Audi has confirmed the pricing and full specifications for the third-generation Q5 and SQ5 SUVs ahead of their arrival in Australian showrooms.
The new models follow the local introduction of the A5 and S5 and share Audi’s new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture.

Five variants will be available at launch, with the Q5 range comprising a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol front-wheel drive, two 2.0-litre diesel all-wheel drive options, and two V6-powered SQ5 performance variants.
Prices start at $81,000 before on-road costs for the entry-level Q5 TFSI and extend to $122,400 for the SQ5 TFSI.

The Q5 150kW TFSI uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 340Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It claims 5.7L/100km combined fuel consumption and an 8.6-second 0–100km/h time.
The diesel TDI quattro and TDI quattro sport variants produce 400Nm and accelerate to 100km/h in a claimed 7.4 seconds. All Q5 variants feature Audi’s MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle) plus technology but do not require plug-in charging.

The SQ5 variants are powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol V6 developing 270kW and 550Nm. Audi quotes a 0–100km/h time of 4.5 seconds and fuel use of 7.6L/100km. Both SQ5 grades feature quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive dampers, and progressive steering.
Standard safety features across the Q5 and SQ5 line-up include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane and side assist, 360-degree cameras, rear occupant detection, and nine airbags.

All variants include a new curved “Digital Stage” dashboard layout with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
The Q5 variants include leather-appointed upholstery, tri-zone climate control, matrix LED headlights, and wireless phone charging.

The Q5 TDI quattro sport adds 20-inch wheels, sport seats with integrated headrests, and a panoramic sunroof.
The SQ5 edition one includes black exterior styling, red brake calipers, and 20-inch wheels, while the standard SQ5 adds 21-inch wheels, ventilated and massaging leather seats, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

Speaking on the launch, Audi Australia Director Jeff Mannering said:
“The arrival of the all-new Audi Q5 and SQ5 marks a transformative moment for Audi in Australia. This third-generation Q5 retains its renowned practicality and versatility while introducing substantial innovations in technology, electrification, and driving dynamics.”
A five-year manufacturer warranty applies to all models, with the option to extend warranty and servicing coverage via Audi Advantage. A 12-year bodywork corrosion warranty is also included.
Customers can order the Q5 and SQ5 from Audi dealerships or from the Audi website. Sportback body styles for both models are expected later in 2025.
