Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the Elevance Concept, an electrified crossover SUV, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo.
The vehicle previews future design and technology directions for the brand, combining electrification with Mitsubishi’s Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system.

The concept uses a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain, even including an engine compatible with carbon-neutral fuel.
Mitsubishi states that the large-capacity battery can also supply external power for activities such as camping - or even glamping.

The Elevance Concept features a quad-motor 4WD system that uses in-wheel motors at the front and dual-motor Active Yaw Control (AYC) at the rear.
This system is designed to maintain vehicle stability and improve traction in a range of driving conditions.

A new AI Co-Driver system provides route suggestions and drive mode recommendations based on driving conditions and user preferences.
It is displayed via integrated screens on the steering wheel and instrument panel.

The SUV’s design includes a smooth, capsule-like cabin and a rib-bone-inspired body structure intended to increase rigidity.
The front features an evolved version of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield grille with a honeycomb design.

Inside, the concept features a three-row, six-passenger configuration with a full-width display across the dashboard.
Mitsubishi Motors president and chief executive officer Takao Kato said the company’s theme for the show was about preserving the spirit of adventure in the modern era.
“We chose ‘Forever Adventure’ as our booth theme to express our passion for delivering the timeless wonder of exploration,” Mr Kato said.
“This spirit comes to life in models that embody the essence of Mitsubishi Motors – such as the Mitsubishi Elevance Concept, which integrates the best of our electrification and all-wheel control technologies.”
