Genesis Australia has detailed its updated 2026 GV80 line-up, introducing two new high-spec variants — the GV80 Black and GV80 Coupe Black — while increasing prices across the range.

The 2026 GV80 replaces the previous Luxury and base grades with a single “Signature” specification offered in 2.5T and 3.5T powertrains.

This simplification to one fully equipped grade mirrors Hyundai’s recent strategy with the new Palisade, which is now also sold in a single Signature trim.

Prices now start from $120,000 before on-road costs for the GV80 2.5T Signature AWD, while the 3.5T Signature AWD costs $132,000. The GV80 Coupe 3.5T Signature AWD is priced at $137,500.

Compared with the outgoing models, the new 3.5T GV80 SUV has risen by $2,886 over the previous $129,114 GV80 3.5T AWD Luxury. The new GV80 Coupe is $2,386 more expensive than the 2025 GV80 Coupe priced at $135,114.

The range now tops out with the new GV80 Black AWD at $136,000 and the GV80 Coupe Black AWD at $141,500, both featuring unique all-black exterior and interior treatments. Matte paint remains a $2,000 option.

The 2026 GV80 introduces Genesis Digital Key 2.0 for the first time locally, enabling smartphone and smartwatch-based locking, unlocking, and engine start. The technology uses both NFC and ultra-wideband connectivity and can be shared with up to 15 devices.

Powertrain options include the returning 2.5T-GDi four-cylinder producing 224 kW and 422 Nm, and the 3.5T-GDi twin-turbo V6 used in Signature and Black variants.

All models use an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-biased all-wheel drive.

Genesis has also fitted revised chassis bushings to improve ride comfort, along with new safety technologies such as Highway Driving Assist 2 and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.
