The new-age Kombi has just gotten cheaper. Volkswagen Australia has lowered the recommended retail prices (RRP) of the ID.Buzz range as well as extending driveaway offers on three of the four variants.

Having launched at $87,990 for the SWB five-seater, $91,290 for the LWB seven-seater and $109,990 for the performance GTX (all prices plus on-road costs), in October VW announced driveaway deals of $79,990 for the SWB five-seater and $84,990 for the LWB seven-seater.

Initially offered until December 31, the deals have been extended until April 30 and expanded to include the ID.Buzz Cargo.

Launched at $79,990 (plus on-road costs), the fleet-oriented Cargo is now available for $72,990 driveaway.

In addition, VW has sharpened the RRPs of all four variants, lowering the SWB five-seater to $75,990, the LWB seven-seater to $84,990, the GTX to $104,990 and the Cargo to $69,990, all prices plus on-road costs.

This puts all variants bar the GTX even further under the Luxury Car Tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles of $91,387, giving buyers of the five- and seven-seat variants more scope to choose from options like two-tone paint ($4090), the Interior Style Package ($6480), panoramic sunroof ($3290) or 21-inch wheels ($1900).

According to Michelle Rowney, Head of Marketing and Product Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, “The ID.Buzz has captured the imagination of Australians. From families wanting an iconic EV people mover to businesses looking for practical, zero-emissions mobility.

“The introductory offers were extremely well received, so we have aligned the RRP structure to these popular price points and extended the offers to give customers even greater confidence and clarity.”

The new RRP and driveaway offers are effective immediately.
