The 2024 GR Yaris is set to introduce a series of major updates after the model initially released in 2020.

Following a pause on orders in July 2022, Japanese outlet bestcarweb.jb has provided details about the upcoming adjustments scheduled for the model.

Key Updates for the GR Yaris:

1. Engine Specifications: Toyota's updated GR Yaris will feature an engine that produces 221kW of power and 370Nm of torque, aligning with the specifications of the GR Corolla. This denotes an enhancement from the model's prior 200kW and same 370Nm of torque.

2. Transmission Options: While the preceding GR Yaris offered only a 6-speed iMT, the new iteration will include an 8-speed AT which has been developed in-house by Toyota. This transmission is designed to offer drivers a responsive experience and will come equipped with paddle shifters.

3. Exterior Adjustments: Minor modifications to the vehicle's exterior will be concentrated around the bumper. Additionally, there's information suggesting the possibility of a variant with an enlarged roof spoiler.

4. Interior Revisions: The updated GR Yaris will transition from analogue gauges to a digital instrument cluster, similar to the feature in the GR Corolla. The instrument cluster display modes will also be adjustable.

5. Structural Refinements: It's understood there will be enhancements to the car's suspension, brakes, and overall body rigidity.

Regarding pricing, the previous GR Yaris model was priced between at $56,499 for the entry 'GR' Trim. With the upcoming changes, the cost for the new iteration is anticipated to be around 10% according to the article.
