GWM Australia has officially locked in the final specifications and drive-away pricing for the highly anticipated Tank 300 Hi4-T Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).
Following an initial price announcement, the manufacturer has now detailed the full equipment lists for the two-tier local line-up, consisting of the Lux and Ultra variants.
The range is scheduled to arrive in Australian showrooms in early April 2026, offering a combination of electrified efficiency and traditional mechanical off-road capability.

The arrival of the Hi4-T model completes the local Tank 300 range, which now offers petrol, hybrid, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options to Australian buyers.
Positioned as the new technology flagship, the PHEV sits at the top of the price and performance hierarchy, commanding a premium over the standard hybrid and diesel models.
With a combined 300kW and 750Nm, it becomes the most powerful variant in the stable, offering a unique blend of daily EV commuting and heavy-duty off-road utility.

GWM has confirmed limited-time national drive-away launch pricing starting at $55,990 for the Lux and $59,990 for the Ultra.
Both models are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 120kW electric motor, generating a combined system output of 300kW and 750Nm.
A 37.11kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery provides an electric-only driving range of up to 115km on the NEDC cycle, matching the recently released and much larger Denza B8 for electric driving range.
The powertrain is mated to a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission (9HAT) and a robust ladder-frame chassis.

Despite the hybrid integration, the Tank 300 Hi4-T maintains a genuine 4x4 system featuring a low-range transfer case and a 3,000kg braked towing capacity.
The Lux variant comes equipped with a rear differential lock, while the flagship Ultra adds a front differential lock and enhanced underbody protection.
Fuel consumption is rated at a combined 1.9L/100km, while the vehicle supports 50kW DC fast charging, allowing a 30% to 80% charge in approximately 24 minutes.
The inclusion of 6kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows the vehicle to power external electrical appliances via the charging port.

Interior technology is headlined by dual 12.3-inch digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
The infotainment unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by a 9-speaker premium audio system.
The Ultra grade distinguishes itself with Nappa leather-accented seats, a heated steering wheel, and front seats featuring heating, cooling, and driver-side massage functions.
Safety remains a priority across the range, with seven airbags and an extensive suite of driver assistance technologies including lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking.

A new exterior colour, Sundrift Sand, joins the palette of Fossil Grey, Dusk Orange, Crystal Black, and Pearl White.
The vehicle features LED lighting throughout, including sequential indicators and "follow me home" functionality.
GWM's latest PHEV entry aims to provide a versatile solution for Australian drivers seeking off-road utility without the high fuel consumption of traditional petrol engines.
Full customer deliveries and test drives are expected to commence at GWM dealerships nationwide from April.
