Geely Auto Australia has confirmed local pricing for the 2026 Geely EX2, with the small electric car starting from $26,490 before on-road costs.

Two grades will be offered at launch, with the entry Complete joined by the higher-spec Inspire priced from $30,990 before on-road costs.

The EX2 is scheduled to arrive in Geely dealerships across Australia from late July 2026.

The price positions the EX2 among Australia’s most affordable new electric vehicles, sitting above the 2026 BYD ATTO 1 Essential at $23,990 before on-road costs but below the 2026 MG 4 EV Urban from $31,990 drive-away and 2026 GWM ORA 5 from $33,990 drive-away.

It follows Geely’s earlier confirmation that the EX2 would target the sub-$35K EV market.

Geely says the EX2 was the world’s bestselling small EV and the overall bestselling model in China in 2025.

For Australia, the EX2 range opens with a 60kW and 150Nm rear-mounted electric motor, paired with a 35.3kWh LFP battery for a claimed 252km WLTP range.

The Inspire steps up to an 85kW and 150Nm electric motor and a 47.1kWh LFP battery, increasing claimed WLTP range to 345km.

Both variants use a liquid-cooled LFP battery pack, rear-wheel drive and a multi-link independent rear suspension.

Geely also claims a 9.9m turning circle, aided by a 41-degree maximum front steering angle.

Australian-delivered EX2 models receive a ride and handling tune developed with Geely Technology Europe, formerly Lotus Tech Innovation Centre GmbH.

The EX2 is based on Geely’s Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture, which is also used by the EX5 electric SUV and Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV.

Packaging highlights include a 70L front boot, 375L rear boot, a 10L drawer-style glovebox, 28L of under-seat storage and more than 30 storage areas throughout the cabin.

Both grades include a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, in-built satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.

The Complete has a four-speaker sound system, while the Inspire gains six speakers, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting and a power tailgate.

Safety equipment fitted from the base grade includes seven airbags, rear parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic alert with braking and evasive manoeuvre assist.

The Inspire adds a 360-degree around-view monitor with transparent view.

Geely Connected Services will be active for the EX2 from August 2026, with access included for 24 months from activation.

Emergency Call functionality is due to be activated in the fourth quarter of 2026 via an over-the-air update.

A launch offer will run from 12 July to 31 August 2026, adding a complimentary 7kW home EV charger and premium paint upgrade for customers who order and take delivery during that window.

Eligible buyers can also access a 0.68 per cent comparison rate on a 36-month finance term.

With its sub-$31,000 range-wide pricing, the EX2 gives Geely a lower-cost EV entry point in Australia as the brand expands beyond the EX5 electric SUV and Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid.

Moon White is the standard exterior colour, while Star Silver, Comet Grey, Nebula Beige, Aurora Green and Nova Pink are $600 premium paint options outside the launch offer.
