The updated 2026 XPENG G6 is now available to order in Australia, with the four-variant electric SUV range priced from $51,800 plus on-road costs.

Reservations are open through authorised XPENG dealers, ahead of Australian showroom arrivals during July 2026.

The revised G6 line-up expands from the earlier Australian offering to include Standard Range, Long Range, AWD Performance and AWD Performance Black Edition variants.

CarSauce previously covered XPENG's broader local product plans as part of its 2026 Australian rollout, with the G6 now moving into its order phase.

The mid-size electric SUV segment remains one of Australia's most contested EV battlegrounds, with the G6 set to face models including the 2026 Tesla Model Y, 2026 BYD Sealion 7 and 2026 Subaru Trailseeker.

The entry G6 RWD Standard Range is priced below those rivals on list price, although final drive-away pricing will vary by state or territory, registration type and buyer circumstances.

All prices are GST-inclusive and exclude on-road costs.

XPENG says WLTP range varies from up to 480km in the RWD Standard Range to up to 525km in the RWD Long Range.

The two AWD Performance variants share the same stated 510km WLTP range, with the Black Edition adding a monochrome exterior treatment.

The updated G6 is built on an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide architecture and brings 5C ultra-fast charging capability across the range.

XPENG claims a 10 to 80 per cent DC fast-charge time of as little as 12 minutes under test conditions.

Peak DC charging power is listed at up to 451kW for the Long Range variant under test conditions.

Energy consumption starts from 16.6kWh/100km under test conditions, while vehicle-to-load capability is rated at up to 6kW.

Inside, the G6 features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air software update capability and dual wireless phone charging.

An XOPERA audio system with 18 speakers in a 7.1.4 layout is also fitted.

Available equipment includes Nappa leather-appointed trim, plus heated, ventilated and massaging front seats.

Selected XPILOT Assist driver-assistance features for Australian vehicles include adaptive cruise control, lane centering control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, door open warning, traffic sign recognition and a surround-view camera system with transparent chassis view.

XPENG notes feature availability is subject to final Australian specification.

The system is a driver-assistance package and does not replace the driver's responsibility to remain in control of the vehicle.

The G6 AWD Performance Black Edition adds exclusive black exterior paint, black-finish 20-inch wheels, smoked-black badging, smoked-black camera housings, smoked-black front bumper light-strip accents and black brake calipers.

It retains the same battery, charging, range and performance specification as the regular AWD Performance variant.

"The New G6 is an important step for XPENG in Australia.
It brings sharper design, faster charging, advanced technology and a stronger model line-up to customers looking for a premium electric SUV that feels genuinely next generation," said Damian Royce, Head of Marketing, XPENG ANZ.

"What stands out about the New G6 is that it reveals more of itself the more you drive it.
The performance, charging speed, technology and driver assistance all work together in a way that makes the car feel more natural, more considered and more rewarding over time," Royce said.

Eligible XPENG vehicles sold by XPENG ANZ from 1 June 2026 are covered by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty for private owners.

Commercial-use vehicles are covered for seven years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.

The traction battery, Battery Management System, drive motor and Intelligent Power Unit are covered for eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.

Paint coverage is five years with unlimited kilometres, while anti-corrosion and anti-rust coverage runs for seven years with unlimited kilometres.

The recommended service interval is every 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first.

With ordering now open, the updated G6 gives XPENG a broader Australian line-up in the mid-size electric SUV class, with showroom deliveries due to begin this month.
