2026 Geely Starray EM-i Price and Specs: AWD PHEV Joins Range From $44,990

Geely Auto Australia has confirmed an all-wheel-drive version of the 2026 Geely Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV, with the new Inspire AWD priced from $44,990 before on-road costs.

The new variant expands the local Starray EM-i line-up to three grades, sitting above the existing Complete and Inspire variants.

It is due to arrive in Australian dealerships from mid-September 2026.

The Starray EM-i Inspire AWD adds a rear electric motor producing 80kW and 150Nm, giving the plug-in hybrid SUV a combined system output of 220kW and 412Nm.

Geely claims the AWD variant can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.3 seconds, compared with 8.0 seconds for the Complete and 8.2 seconds for the front-wheel-drive Inspire.

The AWD model also moves to a five-link rear suspension setup, compared with the four-link rear suspension used by the front-wheel-drive Starray EM-i variants.

Two extra drive modes, Snow and Off-road, have also been added to the Inspire AWD.

Despite the extra rear motor, Geely quotes a WLTP combined driving range of 1,065km for the Inspire AWD, helped by a 60-litre fuel tank.

That compares with 943km for the Complete and 996km for the front-wheel-drive Inspire.

The AWD variant’s WLTP electric-only range is 130km, slightly lower than the 136km figure quoted for the front-wheel-drive Inspire, which uses the same 29.8kWh battery.
