Mazda Australia has added a new entry-level engine option to its CX-60 SUV, with the 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol now available from $44,240 MLP. The new variant lowers the starting point for the CX-60 range and is positioned beneath the six-cylinder models.

The naturally aspirated 2.5-litre petrol engine produces 138kW and 250Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Mazda lists combined fuel consumption at 7.5L/100km.
The G25 engine is offered in three grades: Pure, Evolve and Touring, priced at $44,240, $49,240 and $52,240 MLP respectively. A launch driveaway offer sets the Pure at $47,990, excluding Western Australia where it is $48,990.
Equipment levels mirror the higher-powered CX-60 grades, with features such as a 10.25-inch widescreen display, 360-degree camera system, and advanced safety technology standard on the Pure. Evolve and Touring grades add larger displays, additional driver assistance systems, leather trim options and seat heating.

Customers can choose from eight exterior paint finishes, including three premium 'Takuminuri' colours and five standard metallic or mica options.
The G25 powertrain was introduced following consumer demand and Mazda expects it to represent about one third of CX-60 sales in Australia.

The Mazda CX-60 G25 is now available to order, with first customer deliveries scheduled to begin next month.
