Fresh Updates for 2025 Isuzu MU-X with Design and Technology Enhancements

The 2025 Isuzu MU-X is set for an update, following similar recent changes to the Isuzu D-Max.

Announced via a teaser from Isuzu Thailand, the upcoming release includes a new RS variant, noted for its distinct design features.

Details about the Australian launch and specifications remain unconfirmed, and differences between the Thai models and potential Australian versions have not been disclosed.

According to an Isuzu Ute Australia spokesperson, the company is not ready to comment on the showcased vehicle.

The teaser focuses on updates to the MU-X's exterior, including changes to the grille, bumper, and headlights.

The RS model is differentiated by a green-accented RS badge within a black mesh grille, in contrast to the standard model’s grille, which features two metallic bars. The interior of the updated MU-X was not shown in the teaser.

Following the D-Max's update in October 2023, which arrived in Australia by April, the MU-X is expected to receive similar technological enhancements.

Anticipated updates include a new infotainment system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless connectivity options for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

No alterations to the engine lineup are anticipated.

The MU-X is expected to continue offering its current engine choices: a 1.9-litre and a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel, each paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and available in either rear- or four-wheel drive.

The 1.9-litre engine was recently added to the lineup in Australia.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
