Subaru has opened order books for the all-new 2025 Subaru Forester in Australia, confirming pricing and detailed specifications across a seven-variant range.

The sixth-generation Forester includes both petrol and strong hybrid variants, with the first deliveries expected from July 2025.

There are four petrol-only models and three hybrid variants. Prices start from $43,490 before on-road costs and extend up to $55,990.

The Forester Hybrid introduces a re-engineered 2.5-litre e-Boxer powertrain with 145kW of combined output and a driving range over 1000km, while all variants retain Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system as standard.

Every Forester variant offers 220mm of ground clearance, standard X-Mode, and enhanced suspension tuning to support varied Australian terrain. A new dual-pinion steering setup is also included for improved response.

Interior upgrades span all variants, with standard features including an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and increased cabin insulation. Higher-grade hybrid models add a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 360-degree camera system.

Subaru’s latest EyeSight driver assist technology is now standard across the range, incorporating a new wide-angle monocular camera and Emergency Driving Stop System. Additional safety systems include Subaru Vision Assist, Driver Monitoring System, and nine airbags.

In Japan, Subaru Technica International (STI) has announced a new 'Performance Muffler' for the S:HEV grade of the latest Forester, available from 26 May 2025 for the Japanese Domestic Market.

The muffler features a buffed stainless steel build with a 101.6mm slash-cut tailpipe, is approximately 20 per cent lighter than the standard system, and is engineered to deliver a sporty sound without impacting hybrid system performance.

The 2025 Subaru Forester range is expected to arrive in Australian showrooms from July 2025.
