The 2025 Nissan Patrol has been announced for the Australian market, retaining the Y62 platform while introducing updated cabin technology and finishes. These updates have previously been available in left-hand drive markets but arrive in Australia for the first time due to the additional costs involved in retooling for right-hand drive production.

Despite the global reveal of the all-new Y63-generation Patrol, the version arriving in Australia continues on the existing Y62 platform first introduced locally in 2010. The key changes for 2025 are limited to the interior, with no mechanical revisions to the 5.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine or chassis.

The updated interior introduces a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-built navigation. It is joined by a new 7.0-inch digital driver display, which also functions as an off-road monitor.

Interior trim choices now include black leather-accented upholstery or a chestnut colour scheme with woodgrain-style highlights. These materials had previously been reserved for left-hand drive markets such as the United States.

The Patrol Ti continues as the entry grade, while the Ti-L adds features such as a 13-speaker BOSE stereo, sunroof, Intelligent Rear View Mirror, and centre console cool box. Both variants support seating for seven or eight passengers, depending on configuration.

The Patrol Warrior by Premcar, based on the Ti grade, includes a 50mm suspension lift, all-terrain tyres, bi-modal exhaust, underbody protection and now receives the updated interior and additional black side steps for 2025.

All models are powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine producing 298kW and 560Nm, paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and adaptive shift control. Hydraulic Body Motion Control suspension and full-time four-wheel drive remain standard.

Nissan has confirmed that all Australian-delivered Patrol variants continue to be covered by a 10-year/300,000km warranty, provided servicing is completed at authorised dealers under the brand’s Nissan MORE program.
