BMW has announced the release of the updated 2025 X3 model, which will be available in Australia in early 2025.
This new iteration of the mid-sized SUV features two petrol variants, both incorporating 48-volt mild-hybrid technology.
The variants, named X3 20 xDrive and M50 xDrive, are set to replace previous models, offering updates in engine performance due to the mild-hybrid integration.
The arrival of the new BMW X3 in Australia is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, with specific details on specifications and pricing to be disclosed in July.
The vehicle sports changes to its exterior and interior, including a redesigned grille, revised headlights, and a modernised tailgate, alongside an interior equipped with a new Curved Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen.
The X3 20 xDrive and M50 xDrive show enhanced engine outputs with the adoption of mild-hybrid technology, recording power and torque increases to 140kW/310Nm and 293kW/580Nm, respectively.
The M50 xDrive is noted as the most powerful M Performance model of its series, excluding the full M models.
Standard features for the new X3 models include adaptive suspension, new lighting systems, and a range of driver assistance technologies.
The M50 xDrive further includes 21-inch wheels and additional M Sport enhancements.
The vehicle dimensions are slightly increased, promoting a larger internal space while retaining the previous model's wheelbase.
The driving dynamics are reported to be improved through updates to the suspension and an increased caster offset.
Further details on the specifications and pricing will be provided closer to the market launch.
The price range for current models starts at $81,700 and goes up to $126,800 before on-road costs, with expectations of adjustments for the new generation.
