2024 SsangYong Musso & Rexton Facelift Revealed - Full Pricing and Specs!

SsangYong has unveiled its revamped 2024 Musso ute and Rexton SUV, enhancing both their exterior design and interior features, set to arrive in Australian showrooms by the end of October.

One of the significant changes for both vehicles is the inclusion of a new, larger 12.3-inch Smart Audio touchscreen system. This upgrade from the previous 8.0-inch screen is paired with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, accessible via the new USB-C ports.

2024 SsangYong Musso NEW Interior

Inside, the vehicles flaunt a modernized dashboard, boasting a mix of touch-sensitive and traditional controls, especially in the climate-control section. The Musso's ELX, Adventure, and Ultimate models, as well as all Rexton models, benefit from these features.

Another unique inclusion is the Adventure variant for both models, aiming to bridge the gap between the ELX and Ultimate offerings. The Musso Adventure variant, priced from $42,500, boasts features like 18-inch black wheels, LED vertical fog lights, and leather-like seats. The Rexton Adventure, with a tag of $54,000, includes luxuries like power tailgate, leather-styled seats, and a heated steering wheel.

While the 2024 Musso's facade remains largely unchanged for the Australian market, it does incorporate new vertical LED fog lights in select models. The Rexton, on the other hand, will flaunt a new Graphite grey body colour, with the Musso getting an addition of the Amazonian Green hue.

The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster remains a standard feature across the range for the Musso, making it stand out in its segment. Notably, SsangYong has also improved ride comfort for both vehicles by refining their lower body to chassis mounts, providing smoother handling over rough terrains.

While the engine configurations remain untouched the Musso with its 2.2L turbo diesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic, and the Rexton pairing a similar 2.2L turbo diesel with an eight-speed automatic SsangYong has chosen to drop the six-speed manual transmission option for the 2024 Musso.

Despite the comprehensive refresh, certain safety features still absent in the Australian models include lane-keep assist and braking functionalities for the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert systems.
