Jaecoo Australia has confirmed pricing and specifications for the petrol-powered 2026 J5 SUV range.

The new Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) models will join the J5 EV which launched locally in January 2026.

According to March 2026 VFACTS data, the J5 EV recorded 569 sales in its third month on the market.

The J5 petrol range begins at $25,990 driveaway for the Track and tops out at $29,990 driveaway for the Summit.

Under the bonnet of the petrol variants sits a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

It produces 108kW of power and 210Nm of torque.

Drive is sent exclusively to the front wheels via a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Official combined fuel consumption is rated at 7.5L/100km.

The exterior of the petrol J5 features a signature waterfall front grille to distinguish it from the EV version.

It also receives unique 18-inch alloy wheels as standard on the entry-level grade.

The interior follows a minimalist design language dominated by a 13.2-inch touchscreen.

This screen controls vehicle settings, air conditioning, and wireless smartphone mirroring.

Standard safety features across the range include seven airbags and autonomous emergency braking.

Emergency lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning are also included.

The J5 is backed by an eight-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty and eight years of roadside assistance.

A capped-price servicing program is available for the first eight years or 160,000 kilometres.

The total cost for the first eight services is $3,326.09 including GST.
