Toyota Australia has announced the arrival of the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition in showrooms this month, commemorating a decade of the popular sports car. The limited-run edition will feature both manual and automatic versions and will be available in just 86 units across the country.

Key features of the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition:

  • Starting price of $46,700 plus on-road costs
  • Limited to 86 units in Australia
  • Choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission

The GR86 10th Anniversary Edition is based on the flagship GTS variant and boasts several unique design elements. The exterior is distinguished by its Solar Orange paint scheme, a tribute to the original "hachi roku." The interior features orange contrast stitching and accents throughout, with 10th Anniversary embroidery on the door trims. Additionally, the silver instrument panel moulding has been replaced with a black version.

Notable specifications and features include:

  • 18-inch black alloy wheels
  • Adaptive LED headlights
  • Heated front seats
  • Aluminum pedals
  • 8.0-inch multimedia display
  • 7.0-inch multi-information display
  • Two-zone automatic climate control

All GR86 models, including the 10th Anniversary Edition, are powered by a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 174kW at 7000rpm and 250Nm at 3700rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheels exclusively, with the choice of a six-speed manual or torque-converter automatic transmission. A limited-slip Torsen®3 differential on the rear axle comes standard.

Five vehicle stability control settings are available to cater to different driving preferences, including a complete switch-off mode for track day enthusiasts.

GAZOO Racing Club members were given priority access to express interest in the limited 10th Anniversary Edition, which is available for purchase starting March 23.

GR86 pricing:

  • GT Manual and Automatic: $43,240
  • GTS Manual and Automatic: $45,390
  • 10th Anniversary Edition Manual and Automatic: $46,700
