The 2026 Corvette Stingray R launch edition will debut the forthcoming model year of the C8 in Australia, with a limited run of 50 cars coming to Australia and New Zealand and a price tag of $235,000 before on-road costs.

The Stingray R has been available overseas as an aesthetic package for the C8 Corvette – inspired by the brand’s motorsport activities – and comes in the premium 3LT coupe trim level.

The launch edition R arrives with aesthetic features including 19 and 20-inch black alloy wheels with red stripes, a black racing decal on the bonnet, Stingray R centre wheel caps, red brake calipers, black exhaust tips and carbon fibre exterior trim.

The interior features include Corvette’s leather GT2 seats, red seat belts, a unique build plate and carbon fibre trim.

The centre console now features a three-screen layout – as opposed to the two screens featured on previous C8 model years – and is integrated with Chevrolet Connected Services.

The 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 is expected to retain its 396kW and 637Nm output, however the Stingray R sees the addition of the engine appearance package, sporting a red engine cover.

The 2026 Corvette Stingray R launch edition arrives in Australia in January 2026, with further details on the local range – set to include the Stingray, E-Ray and Z06 – being revealed later this year.
