Australian pricing has been confirmed for the 2026 Alfa Romeo Junior compact SUV, with prices starting from $45,900 before on-road costs.
The Junior – which was originally going to be badged as the Alfa Romeo Milano before Italian legislation prompted a name change – arrives with two powertrain options: a mild-hybrid and a battery electric (BEV) variant.

The Ibrida – or hybrid – arrives with a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48V lithium-ion battery, an electric motor, and a six-speed dual clutch transmission, with a combined system output of 107kW and 230Nm sent to the front wheels.
The hybrid junior is capable of 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 206km/h. The Junior Ibrida is also capable of 4.1L/100km on the NEDC test cycle.

The electric motor in the mild hybrid system can also be temporarily utilised on its own in slow-speed situations including when starting up, when manoeuvering at speeds just above 0km/h, when stopping and starting in a traffic jam and when parking.
The Elettrica BEV variant of the Junior – priced from $57,900 before on road costs – features a 54kWh battery and an electric motor driving the front wheels, producing 115kW and 260Nm, capable of 0-100km/h in nine seconds.

Using a 100kW mode 4 cable on public fast charging, the Junior can change from 10 to 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes, good for 100km of driving range. The Junior Elettrica has a claimed WLTP range of 407km.
The exterior styling of the Junior is primarily characterized by 18-inch Petali alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights and Alfa Romeo’s iconic grille design featuring the brand’s signature, paying tribute to the brand’s pre-war cars.

The interior features include a 10.25-inch instrument and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Alfa Connected Services with Connected navigation, wireless charging, and a six-way power adjustable, heated and massaging drivers seat with a six-way manually adjustable passenger’s seat.
As has been the case with most Alfa Romeos in recent years, DNA drive modes – consisting of Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficiency – make a return for the Junior, which the brand says has been reinvented “for the electrified era.”
The Junior arrives with a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, consisting of such features including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection.
The 2026 Alfa Romeo Junior arrives in Australia in July.
