Presales for the Zeekr 9X PHEV are set to begin in August in China, positioned as the SUV flagship of the Chinese luxury brand.
The 9X – which is expected to rival the likes of the BMW X7, Mercedes GLS and the Range Rover just to name a few – boasts some impressive performance figures.
The large SUV – which is over 5.2 metres long and 2 metres wide – will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with three silicon carbide electric motors – sourcing electricity from a 70kWh battery – with a combined system output of 1030kW.

As a result, the Zeekr 9X is capable of a claimed 0-100km/h time of 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 240km/h.
The 9X is reportedly capable of 380km of pure electric CLTC driving range, as well as a combined range of over 1000km.
Built on 900V hybrid architecture and capable of supporting 6C charging, the 9X’s battery is capable of being charged from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just nine minutes.

Additionally, the 9X features air suspension, as well as a 48V active stabiliser bar designed to mitigate body roll.
The Zeekr 9X also sports all-terrain modes and can automatically switch between these modes when off-road. The on-road driving modes consist of ‘Comfort’, ‘Economy', and ‘Sport’, while the off-road modes optimize the 9X for driving on grass, gravel, light snow, deep snow, mud, sand, rocks and mountain roads.
The Zeekr 9X is also equipped with Geely’s G-Pilot H9 system, capable of Level 3 autonomous driving.

Seating inside the 9X is arranged in a 2+2+2 layout, with the second row consisting of two reclining captains chairs.
Chinese pricing for the Zeekr 9X is yet to be confirmed, but speculation suggests that it could be priced between ¥500,000 (approximately $105,000 AUD) and ¥1,000,000 (approximately $211,000 AUD).
The Zeekr 9X has not yet been confirmed for an Australia arrival, although it is understood that the model is under close consideration for local sale by the Chinese brand.
