Nissan has just announced the addition of the Patrol Warrior by Premcar to its lineup, aiming to cater to Australian driving conditions.

Following the Navara PRO-4X Warrior and Navara SL Warrior, the Patrol Warrior is presented as a vehicle tailored for Australian terrains. Developed in response to market feedback, Nissan, in collaboration with Premcar, has worked to create a vehicle suitable for the unique Australian conditions.

Nissan Patrol Warrior Offroad

Bernie Quinn, Premcar Engineering Director, stated, “Australia's varied landscape required a vehicle that has been engineered to match. The Patrol Warrior is our response to that demand. It’s the outcome of intensive research and collaboration."

Since 2019, Premcar has partnered with Nissan under the Warrior program, focusing on adapting vehicles for local Australian conditions in their Victoria facility.

The new Patrol Warrior incorporates both mechanical and design modifications. Key features include:

  • Capability Upgrades: Modifications to ground clearance, tyre specifications, suspension alterations, and towbar redesign.
  • Design Changes: Exterior adjustments for enhanced road presence, and interior revamps including black and Alcantara™ trim with Warrior branding.
  • Exhaust System: The introduction of a bi-modal exhaust system linked with Nissan’s 298kW V8.
  • Suspension Refinements: Adjustments to the HBMC suspension for improved performance.

The Patrol Warrior is based on the Nissan Patrol Ti and incorporates additional features like satellite navigation, electric front seats, and leather-accented seats.

Exterior modifications encompass a range of branded elements, from bumper assembly to decals. The interior is predominantly black, with added high-gloss black trim elements and Alcantara™ inlays.

Unfortunately, for the Australian market the infotainment display has not been updated to the larger 12.3" unit found in Left-Hand Drive markets.

Nissan Patrol Warrior Interior

In terms of engineering, the Patrol Warrior introduces alterations such as a 50mm lift, a wider track, improved approach and departure angles, and adjustments to the Hydraulic Body Motion Control system.

The pricing for the Nissan Patrol Warrior by Premcar starts at $101,160*, utilizing the Nissan Patrol Ti model as its foundation, which is priced at $84,900*. The Nissan Patrol Ti-L is available at $97,600*.
