OMODA JAECOO has announced Australian pricing and specifications for the new 2025 Omoda 9 SHS, which will arrive in dealerships from early August.
The plug-in hybrid SUV is priced from $61,990 before on-roads and will be offered in a single, highly specified variant called Virtue.

The Omoda 9 SHS — short for Super Hybrid System — marks the first vehicle sold in Australia under the standalone OMODA JAECOO banner — rather than the existing Chery brand name.
OMODA JAECOO is a sub-brand of Chery Group, created to focus on a more premium segment of the market, with prior launches in markets such as New Zealand.
This is the third Omoda-badged vehicle to be launched in Australia, following the Chery Omoda 5 (later renamed to the Chery C5) and the electric Chery Omoda E5. Unlike its predecessors, the Omoda 9 is positioned as a flagship SUV and does not carry the Chery badge in any form.

The Omoda 9 SHS features a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with three electric motors — two up front and one at the rear — delivering a combined output of 395kW. All-wheel drive is achieved via the rear electric motor, with a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) powering the front wheels.
The SUV offers a pure electric driving range of up to 169km (NEDC) and a total claimed range of up to 1100km in hybrid mode. The 34kWh battery can be recharged from 30% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes using a 70kW DC fast charger.
Standard equipment includes dual 12.3-inch LCD screens, a panoramic sunroof, automatic parking assist, and heated and ventilated leather seats for both front and rear occupants.

The Virtue grade also features a 14-speaker Sony sound system, heads-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless phone charger, and a voice control system.
The cabin is designed with a minimalist layout and features a two-spoke steering wheel and ambient lighting.

Exterior highlights include 20-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlights and taillights, retractable door handles, and Omoda’s updated diamond-pattern front grille.
Safety systems include 8 airbags and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping, and Forward Collision Warning.

The Omoda 9 SHS is backed by an 8-year unlimited kilometre vehicle warranty, 8 years of capped-price servicing, and 8 years of roadside assistance. The battery is also covered by an 8-year unlimited kilometre warranty.
Customers will be able to choose from four exterior colours — Silk White, Ink Black, Dove Grey, and Shadow Grey.
