Monster Truck Segment Next Logical Step For Carmakers

Monster Truck Segment Next Logical Step For Carmakers

UPDATE: A happy April Fool's Day to our readers!

And well done to those who picked it. Of course, there are no plans to introduce a 'monster truck segment' from carmakers. We hope you enjoyed the story and got a chuckle out of it.

Our original story continues unchanged below.

Drivers will soon have the opportunity to park a monster truck in their driveways.

Industry insiders have revealed most major car companies have begun working on so-called monster trucks, with market research indicating the segment to be the next big thing in the automotive industry.

A representative of the North American Dealership Council says customers have long been complaining about the lack of space and power in their pick-ups.

“It’s clear this is what the market wants,” Richard Small told CarSauce.

“And while we understand there are some environmental concerns, our research shows that much larger monster trucks are able to clear flora and fauna more easily, helping to protect our beloved outdoors.”

Despite the vehicles still being under wraps, Mr Small says dealers have received an unprecedented number of orders since news began to leak.

Several carmakers are expected to show off their monster truck concepts at 12 midday today.
