In a remarkable Black Friday event, Hyundai is presenting substantial savings on their Ioniq 6 electric cars. This sale, not commonly associated with the automotive industry, allows customers to upgrade to a higher trim level without any additional cost.

The promotion, which runs from November 24 to 27, offers a free upgrade from the rear-wheel drive Dynamiq to the all-wheel drive Techniq, a deal valued at $10,500. Alternatively, purchasing the all-wheel drive Techniq grants an upgrade to the flagship all-wheel drive Epiq, saving customers $5,288.

For context, the MY23 Ioniq 6 is priced as follows: Dynamiq RWD at $71,500, Techniq AWD at $82,000, and Epiq AWD at $87,288. Hyundai has disclosed that approximately 600 MY23 Ioniq 6 sedans are available nationwide for this offer.

Looking ahead, Hyundai plans to launch a revised Ioniq 6 range in early 2024, introducing a more economical base model equipped with a smaller battery. This upcoming variant will be priced at $65,500, excluding on-road costs, and will omit certain features like leather upholstery and a head-up display. Additionally, customers can opt for the existing 77.4kWh battery for $71,500. Significant specification changes to the Dynamiq and Epiq models are also in the pipeline
