GWM has announced enhanced drive away pricing for the GWM Cannon Ute, effective from 1st August 2024. This includes an additional $1,000 factory bonus for private and ABN buyers.

The bonus applies to all Cannon models except the Cannon XSR. An extra $1,500 discount is available for ABN holders, valid until 30th September 2024.

The Cannon XSR is priced at $48,990 for private buyers and $46,990 for ABN holders. This reflects a $4,000 discount off the regular driveaway price.

Since its 2021 debut, the GWM Cannon Ute has sold nearly 30,000 units, making it a key volume seller for GWM. The vehicle is praised for its value for money and extensive features.

Steve Maciver, Head of Marketing & Communications for GWM, said, "We are thrilled to offer our customers even greater value with the GWM Cannon Ute. This additional factory bonus reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering feature-packed vehicles at outstanding value."

He highlighted the importance of the ute segment in Australia’s growing market, saying, "The ute segment in Australia remains a key focus for us given the industry growth over the past few years. As we continue to build on the pillars of quality, performance, and affordability, we know that this competitive pricing will further enhance its appeal to Australian consumers."

The GWM Cannon Ute's success has contributed to GWM's expanding presence in Australia. The introduction of the All-New Cannon Alpha in hybrid and diesel versions reflects the brand's growth and market share.

GWM now offers eight models in Australia, including Haval SUVs, Tank 4x4, GWM Ute, and ORA EV, supported by a 103-strong dealer network. The company is on track for record sales in 2024, with nearly 25,000 new utes and SUVs sold year-to-date.
